Field - Test
NOTE IF THE COLOUR CHANGE FROM PINK TO WHITE /OR LIGHT PINK,ADD A FEW DROPS ONE BY ONE OF YOUR 0.1 NAOH SELUTION UNTIL COLOUR IS PURPLE OR PINK BEFORE USING IT AS ANALIZER.
Biofuelson developed this test as a firewall. If the biodiesel
pass this test you can send it to further analyse the biodiesel. The
field-test is cheap and easy to use when compare it with other
analyse systems.
Biofuelson will not be responsible for any guarantees at all,or
any dispute between parties or third parties.
Step 1

First add Field-test to 50% (bottle volume)Then add biodiesel on
top ,please take note to leave a small amount of air in bottle at
top. This will make it easy to mix the two liquits. Here I took two
sample to demonstrate the process.
Step 2

Mix the sample (field-test & Biodiesel gently)Do not mix to
mutch. The best is take the bottle from down up to head (10 times)
Turn the bottle in the process up and down when moving hands from
down to head.
Step 3

After shake it gently 10 times let it stand for 10 min.In the10
minutes time ,see colour change ,amount of bubbles burst and top
layer colour.
If colour change like in sample at left the biodiesel is acitic. The
colour must stay pink to light pink.
Bubbles must burst and no bubbles left in 10 min time.If any bubbles
is left the chemical reaction was not completed.
The layer on top must be clear, and a clear line between the layers
is a must.
Step 4

This is after five minutes.
There is still bubbles, but remember there is still 5 min to go.
Sometimes the bubbles is all burst in 5 min.The faster the better.
Test 5

After 10 min still bubbles.
Both these samples will not pass.Left is acetic and chemical reaction
is not completed (Mono and di glycerides in biodiesel)
Sample on right also have some mono and di glycerides in Biodiesel.
Top layer is clean ,so no water in biodiesel and also no catalyst
in biodiesel.
After 10 minutes the sample must look like the one on right ,but
without any bubbles.
Clear on top ,no bubbles ,light pink.
